Mini Scrap Collages .,,,, a continuation 204-224/365

Remember these?  Well, not these exactly, but the mini collages that I started last year as my 365 project.  Last fall it kind of got derailed by a slew of other projects that took precedence with my time.  However, I had cut out and covered a stack of the ovals which have been sitting on my work table as a reminder that I intend to finish this project.  (Especially since I haven't put much of a dent in the scrap box and Kirby and I keep on sharing those Cheez-Its so there will be plenty of ovals.)

I just completed 20 of them and instead of taking individual pictures, clumped them in groups of four.

This brings me to 224 of 365 and before I do anymore I'm going to die cut all the ovals so I can see the progress that I'm making to get to that magic number of 365.  It will be more like a countdown than counting up to in this case.  And I'll probably clump them in groups again - well I may have to rethink that as I started an album on my laptop for these and that's not going to work.  Well, taking pictures is not what takes the longest time so I can still mull that over.

Mini Scrap Collages 190-196/365

Sorry for the poor photo quality on these.  It's really been so gloomy here and I tried to get these snapped early yesterday morning before work so I could post them during the day.  You see how that went.  What a crazy start to the school year!  You've heard the statement before "you can't make these things up" - well, they seem to be coming in clusters.  And to top it all off, just in time for the weekend, I'm not sure whether it's my allergies or the start of a cold which has me feeling like my head is about to explode.  Ugh.

Mini Scrap Collages 183-189/365

Sorry, everything is rush, rush, rush this week - first week back with staff and students - lots to get ready.  Work to bring home, preparing for staff luncheon first day, shopping for last minute supplies. I feel like my life isn't my own sometimes.  And it's defeating when you're too exhausted to even create ANYTHING.  I don't regret doing things for other people, but as I get older I find I ask myself the question more often "Why am I doing this?".  Am I ever going to get time to do for me what I want to do instead of what I have to do?  Ahhh, it's a conundrum.

Auditioning - A New Way to Use That Word

I don't know where I first read it used in this way, but "auditioning" is what I do when I "try out" different combinations of things like my mini scrap collages.  Here you'll see the start of another 14.

Mini Scrap Collages 169-175/365

So I have to say that I haven't given up on this 365 day project, but I've decided that I'm not going to try to catch up, just go forward from here until I have 365 finished.  That could mean doubling up some in the future but I'm not going to hold myself to that.  July just got a away from me with additional summer activities and projects that had to be on the front burner.  I do have ovals cut and prepped for a few weeks more which will help as this summer and month of August comes to an end.
