Here's a hint - don't ever ask my husband to explain what he sees because it's usually what he thinks he should be seeing only he spurts it out before thinking about what he's saying. For instance, tonight
Me - "Do you know who this is?"
Him - "You and me."
Yes, he's still alive, though I may be referring to him as Tweedledum from now on.
I combined my ICAD and our Scribble Picnic prompt again this week. The ICAD prompt was "Greetings from" and, as in the title, Scribble Picnic is PLUMP. So Tweedledee and Tweedledum happened to pop into my head as a good combination of both.
Two more days of school and then I can relax a little. I've been working later than normal this week trying to clear things up by Friday as they've moved up completion dates on things we haven't had to do before. Just what I needed!
So Picnickers, forgive me if I don't get to you until tomorrow. I'm fading fast here, but I do want to visit. Scribble Picnic is just a click away. And should anyone like to join in next week the theme is CRUNCHY.
Haha, well these are fun plump characters for sure!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I was trying not to make them scary like I've seen them illustrated before.
DeleteLove this! Your husband must be a great guy (sorry I don't mean plump!) with a real sense of humor!
ReplyDeleteHappy Summer vacation Lorraine - know you've earned it!
Hugs - Mary
Thank you Mary. He's so funny he doesn't even know it!
DeleteAren't these guys cute, and definitely plump!
ReplyDeleteWe gotta love 'em! (those dear husbands, who we never know what they will say!)
Yes, Jolene. Sometimes, more so lately, I just have to shake my head.
DeleteI suspect your DH must be pulling your leg! I like T'w'dum and T'w'dee.
ReplyDeleteWell, we both could stand to lose weight, but I wouldn't say that we're this plump.
DeleteLOL Lorraine, you're hubby is a gem hee hee! I love your piece! I remember those two...very nice! You must be so happy for summer vacation, enjoy yourself!
ReplyDeleteYes, he is a gem. I wouldn't trade him for anything. I'm glad there will be less interruptions and an extra day off from work. It has really taken a toll on me this year.
DeleteYour hubby has a wicked sense of humour. hehe Love your take for the prompt. Enjoy your summer vacation! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Serena. In his defense he says he never saw or read Alice in Wonderland. I just think he doesn't remember.
DeleteOh my gosh, Lorraine, that is too too funny. You actualyl had me chuckling out loud on that one. Your dear (aesthetically challenged) husband! Yes, so glad he is still alive. That was dangerous indeed but oh gosh, soo priceless. hahah, thank you dear hubs.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, what a fabulous addition! So make me smile and something I would have never expected. so clever to choose these chubby chaps. I love it!!! thank you.
Glad you liked it. Like I've said, I should know better than to ask for his critique.
DeleteOh my goodness - that is what people here would refer to "foot in mouth", with an allusion to foot & mouth disease which cattle get. Even without the Wonderland cue they are so obviously Tweedledum and Tweedledee! I hope those last couple of days went in smoothly and you'll be able to enjoy the more leisurely summer work schedule.
ReplyDeleteYes Sabrina, I often say his foot must taste good because he certainly has a knack for putting it in his mouth. I'm just looking forward to less interruptions. It's been a really trying year.
DeleteThe Tweedledee and Tweeddledum story cracked me up! Each time I read it, it gets funnier! Glad HWNSNBP is still alive!
