Scribble Picnic - TABLECLOTH

As I was doing the Twelve Days of Zentangle earlier this month this particular tangle "Rumpus" reminded me of a woven textile so I decided that it would become the TABLECLOTH that I'm bringing to Scribble Picnic this week.

I'm looking forward to seeing what lovely linens and things the other picnickers are sharing this week.  You can check it out too by clicking here.

Next week we'll be do something SPICY!

  2. At first I thought this was real fabric and had to read closely to figure out that it was actually paper!

    1. I think it would make a pretty tablecloth in real life - or even a nice skirt.

  6. Yes, that's a super intricate pattern and nice to see something different too here for a tablecloth. Great job, Lorraine. Thank you for noting too that the new theme has changed from "soup" to "spicy" as I felt it has more leeway for everyone.

    1. I think I'll be fixated on this pattern for a while. I find the repetition of creating it very relaxing and purposeful. Spicy, hmmmmm, has me thinking.

  9. This so reminds me of those lovely floral designs from the '60's when table linens were beautiful and started to be washable/dryable instead of having to send out to the laundry.
This design would also be perfect for the new trend in throw pillows - contemporary but still classic - could see it mixed with big tropical leaves and ferns etc.

You are truly creative with these amazing designs Lorraine.

    1. I would really like to replace the pillows that came with our couch with something more like this. Thanks Mary!

  10. I love Zentangle. I used to do it all of the time, but that is just another thing that has fallen by the wayside. Hopefully, I will make my way back to it someday ... that said, this is beautifully done, Lorraine, and a perfect tablecloth it is :) . So are you ready for spicy next week. Micheal is really making us stretch our imaginations ... gulp!

    1. Thank you Andrea. You know, it's something that I wish I spent more time on as I find it so relaxing. But I figure a little practice here and there will keep me at it. And no, I'm not ready for "spicy" - this is going to be a real challenge!

  11. Fabulously dimensional-looking. It reminds me of my favourite stamp from Doodle This.
