Teapot Tuesday 127

We have turned the page on another year and in doing so, we have begun another round of Teapot Tuesday Challenges.  Who would have believed that teapots, humble teapots, could be so inspiring?   Who would have believed that there could be a group of such dedicated cardmakers that would keep this wonderful challenge going?  Who would have believed that there could be such a creative genius that could lead us on all these journeys?   Well, believe it or not we go on.  We go on with not just the inspiration of the teapot, but with the story that goes with it and the destination of the cards also.  

I am always so glad to take part in these challenges and this week is no exception.  This week we have this wonderful teapot...........

A story that is Cindy at her best with twists and turns and fun, fun, fun.  And a destination that's the happiest kind... welcoming a new baby.  One of our teapotters is going to be a grandma (could be it's happened already!), and the momma is a stamper too!  So what better way to welcome the baby of such a creative family than with more creativity.  If you guessed from the teapot that Winnie-the-Pooh may be the theme, well, you guessed right.

I remembered seeing a punched Winnie on Ellen Kemper's blog.  Ellen is a punch genius.  I am always in awe of what she comes up with using punches.  She not only has Winnie, she has Tigger, and Eeyore, and Piglet!  Check them out  here. under Disney in her sidebar.  

Thank goodness I remembered Ellen's Winnie because this card below was my first attempt at this challenge. Clean and simple was what I was aiming for, but I think I missed.  Any suggestions on how I could improve this one?  It needs something.

Okay, what I used on Winnie - no stamps, no ink, Marina Mist Marker on the hand-lettered 1/4" squares, Scallop frame die, Square Lattice embossing folder, dauber, Black Marker, some dsp, Bashful Blue and Marina Mist cardstock, and punches.  The 1 3/4", 1/2", and 1/4" circles, Butterfly, Word window and Hearts.  (Really, go to Ellen's blog for great directions - you won't be sorry!)
