The first picture has the tree in blue. The left one (don't mind the cut-off bottom) has been bleached, the right one has an added white motif.
The next picture is of a white tree inked in blue
and a blue tree with some coloration and white added.
The last picture is a red tree with darker red accents and a green tree with a red flower.
I plan on mounting them on another piece of cardstock and giving it a 1/8-1/4" frame which will enable me to add a ribbon or decorative thread hanger.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. You should be able to click on the image to make it larger. Oh, and I will be also doing the stars or a snowflake for the staff that does not celebrate Christmas.
I can't limit it to one - sorry but it was a hard decision as they all look good. My favorites are the blue/bleached and the red. I hope you show us the final product.
ReplyDeleteI like the one in the top picture on the right. It's beautiful! I can't wait to see what these look like finished!
ReplyDeleteI like both trees in the first picture but I absolutely ADORE both trees in the last picture. I'm not very helpful am I?!?! Sorry.
ReplyDeleteFor what it's worth, my eyes keep going back to the blue tree, upper right. It pops by contrast and makes the other trees look like their missing something. As for the red and green ones, have you thought of making one with burgundy and a dark, dusty hunter green? Not so traditionally "christmasy" looking.
ReplyDeleteHey Lorraine, thanks for your kind comment on my blog....I personally like the (traditional) green & red tree, the last one. Beautiful!

Def the blue one bleached but as i am scandanavian i am certainly biased to the whiter images.
ReplyDeleteI just LOVEEE it in the red and white - where did you get the stamps from I just have to have some i have just finished decorating our xmas tree all in red and white colours i so need to make xmas decorations for our very scandanavian (danish) tree. I just love the traditional look

They all look great, but I like the bleached one and the white with the blue ink - I'm partial to the blues though!!!
ReplyDeleteI like 2nd right and 3rd left...Vintage to me.
