Scribble Picnic Valentine's Day - MUSHY

So what makes me MUSHY is this little love of mine any day of the year.  (Two hand coloring - gotta love it!)

Taking my cue from his coloring session, I used the direct to paper technique for the background of his Valentine card.  Looks a little MUSHY don't you think?

My initial thought was to illustrate this Valentine poem which leaves much to be desired with the handwriting.  It looked so much better on the practice sheet - doesn't that always happen to me!

And as long as I'm being MUSHY, here's my card for HWNSNBP.

The two of them...... yep, they get me MUSHY!

Happy Valentine's Day!  I'll be heading to check out the picnickers and all the MUSHY stuff they've brought this week.  You can check it out here.  And should you care to join in, the theme for next week is going to be a Fill In The Blank which will be revealed very soon I'm sure.

Your birds are sweet and your grandson's art is wonderful. I so enjoy children's art.

  7. Oh my goodness, Lorraine ... this is a wonderful, loving post and as mushy as they get. Your two loves of your life are beautiful and your poem is sweeeeeet! So enjoyed this. Reminds me of how lucky I am to have "loves of my life" in my home :) Sometimes we take things for granted, which we really shouldn't :) Love it all ...

  10. The DTP background looks great! And I love the lighthouse card. I hear you on the lettering and practice sheets - I think that's why I like replicable techniques more than random ones like alcohol inks - at least I have some chance of getting the same look again. Maybe I'm just too conservative!

    1. I was finding it hard to come up with a masculine stamp for Valentine's Day and then came across this - perfect. But maybe I should have stayed away from the pink. Actually, I don't think he noticed it all being color blind!
