Way past my bedtime and school (with children) starts tomorrow so I will have a short visit to the picnic tonight. The theme is TIE IT UP and the first thing I thought of was to do a tangle. I have the step-outs to what I'm calling TIE IT UP. I see that next week's theme is BLACK and WHITE so I will attempt to use this tangle and possibly a few others on a Zentangle tile.
I'm looking forward to seeing what else was TIEd UP for the Picnic this week. Join me in checking it out by clicking here.
Very nice tangle tie up Lorraine, glad you made it this week. Thanks for the heads up on the new theme I will go check.
ReplyDeleteThanks, just barely made it Christine.
DeleteHi Lorraine :) That's a great interpretation! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Rain. It was a little rushed, but will get better.
DeleteOOh, I am glad I went back to see your jsut in time entry, Lorraine! This is a clever idea for the theme and yes you could work on it more for Black and White. For that one, I'm thinking one could only do black and white or show something with b and w but have other coloured things around it. Up to each of you
ReplyDeleteYes, it was just in time - I've been so bad about that. Hmmm, that's an interesting thought to have something black and white with color around it. Thanks for the inspiration.
DeleteFun to consider, perhaps woven? I enjoy looking at how you went about it. Hope school is beginning well for you.
ReplyDeleteIt's always a hectic beginning, getting back into a routine. It's nice that the weekend is here already though.
DeleteI like zentangles a lot but they do take a lot of time to do them. this looks less complicated when you see the steps/progress.
ReplyDeletehave a lovely day.
You're right lissa, they do take time. But when I get into it, I find it very relaxing.
DeleteHow interesting Lorraine. Next week's challenge will be a good one too - I'm just praying I can join in with scary thoughts of Irma possibly paying us a visit and losing power etc.
ReplyDeleteHappy new school year.
Oh Mary, I hope that you and your family are safe and sound. Mother Nature is sure taking a toll this last few weeks.
DeleteVery neat, those are all tied up!
ReplyDeleteThanks Trina. I stuck with simple striped ties (lol).
DeleteClever way to tie things up! I may have to try that after seeing your step-by-step illustration.
ReplyDeleteHave a great school year! Not sure if I'll do any subbing or not this year... probably will at some point!
Thanks Jolene. I kept thinking about ties so I figured I might as well draw them. The school year is off to a fast start. We'll see if things slow down (I hope they do).
ReplyDeleteThis is clever...and it will be fun to see what you do with these for the black and white theme. I like the patterns. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Alex.
DeleteSometimes I feel tangled up lately. lol :) I'll think of your illustration.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Janis
Thanks Janis.
DeleteNice Zentangle tie-up, Lorraine!
ReplyDeleteThanks Serena.
