Stamping Get Together

Last Friday my Stampin Up Manager Debbie had us to her house for a fun night of stamping and sharing.  Before we got started she let us go through her swaps from the Regionals she had just attended and gave us a printed copy of the notes she took there. 

This first card above was designed by Jen, aka Ladybug Stamper.  She used one of my favorite new sets Nature Walk in her gorgeous card.  Don't you know I'm a bird lover, so this was a great pleasure to create.  Both of these ladies are extremely talented and full of inspiration.  You should really check out the links.

Debbie kept us busy with a bunch of cute and easy projects that we can use this spring.  There were two projects that used the new petal cone die - a chocolate box and the carrot candy holder.  Then there was another bird featured project - a simple and sweet bag topper.  What a slew of ideas she gave us.

I was asked to design a card and I featured the set Clearly For You.  I just love all those little motifs and found a way to get a lot of them on this card.  This used the masking technique to get those two center motifs to overlap so nicely.  Then we added some sponging around the inside edges of those two rectangles to make them pop even more.  The other rectangles were stamped off once and then added around the center.  The raspberry stamp was also stamped off once and then using Crumb Cake ink added to the background. 

Another show stopper from Debbie was this bookmark that used the blossoms die and the beveled frames.  She gave us free choice on the color of our flower which we sponged with Early Espresso ink.  This picture just doesn't do it justice.  It's very dimensional and would lay on the cover of the book with the ribbon holding the page at the top.

My little surprise for the ladies were these donut bunnies.  I had been surfing some blogs and came across this cute little punched bunny that someone used to decorate the small packages of mini powdered sugar donuts.  I couldn't find the small packages so I decided to package my own with some plastic wrap.  The ears on my bunnies are made using the flames from the Table Setting die, but you could use oval punches just as well. 

The bows are torn strips of SU's fabric that I just tied in the middle with some white cotton string.  All of the pieces stuck to the plastic quite nicely with some sticky strip.
