Cards - Yes, I Still Make Cards

I know you wouldn't know it the past month or so.  I've been involved with other things to the point where I haven't spent much time in the stamp cave.  But.........I needed two anniversary cards for this weekend and I will admit that I cheated a bit because I had all the elements already die cut, but tell me who wouldn't love a pair of flamingos and some flowers to celebrate their anniversary!

And, I also needed two thank you cards for two lovely co-workers who brought in a bouquet of flowers for myself and my office mate on Wednesday - just to thank us for all we do during the summer and for the "hot dog" luncheon we had organized for the staff's first day back the day before.

I quickly stamped and colored these little flower-clad owls from Unity, then used a NBUS (Never-Before-Used-Schtuff) die that I had to have after seeing this card.

Sheesh!  Four cards in one night - I must have been motivated.

  2. Thanks Christine. I have to get motivated more often I think.

  3. Hi Lorraine :)) Those cards are so amazing! You have some great creative talent. Sending homemade cards...well, sending cards in general now, seems to be a disappearing gesture sadly.

    1. Thank you Rain. I enjoy making cards, but I really should send more than I do. There's really no reason not to.

  4. The Unity owls are so sweet, aren't they! I love the anniversary cards. We were so lucky to see flamingos several times on holidays this year. Hopefully now the evenings are getting darker, once I get a little more energy I can get to some photo editing, harder to do on bright evenings. The rich colours of the flowers and the great textured background make these just beautiful.

    1. I do love the Unity owls. I think I have quite a few of them. Don't I know about the lack of energy. The days are so full that I'm spent by night. Hope you get some time to do that editing.

    1. Yes, it has been busy. You'd think I'd be better prepared by now, but there's always something last minute that pops up that you didn't count on..... or they change the way they want things done. Three more times I have to do this... but who's counting!
