Handmade Birthday Greetings and Gifts

This beauty came from my office buddy Carol.  Look what she did with that ribbon and the dual colors on the image!  She even added a little jeweled butterfly.  Super card!  Thank you Carol.

I love violets and I think I must have posted that in a comment to my blogging friend Dawn.  Just look at this gorgeous easel card she sent me from North Carolina.  She probably has real violets blooming already there!  Thanks Dawn - what a keepsake.

I received this card as a BRAK (Birthday RAK) from Maggie Minnich who included the nicest note telling me a little bit about herself.  What a sweet card and so unexpected.  Thank you Maggie.

The card below is from my friend Sabrina who lives in Ireland.  What a wonderful surprise to receive a package from her.  Sabrina has many talents and she still continues to amaze me.  Her card is a work of art in itself.

My little bluebird among the beautiful flowers.

This is a scissor fob that she did all the needlework on.  Even the lovely braid and tassel.  Don't you just love those vibrant colors.  They echo the colors in the card above.

Look how she's blended the yellow and oranges on that wing- just like a well executed painting.

The bag held another gift but it was a gift in itself.  A tag with a bird in some of the same shades you've seen in the first two items.  What you don't see in the picture is the embossed flowers on the bag under the tag.  What attention to detail!

Inside the bag was a most beautiful knitted scarf.  I'm sorry the shadow fell across the right side of the pictured scarf - it has the most delicious green in it along with all those other yummy colors.  I've already received many compliments on it.    Thank you for sharing your many talents with me Sabrina!

I must thank everyone for the birthday wishes last week.  You all have made me feel very special.

  2. Arghhh. I would have known it's your birthday if I just knew where my list is with your address and birthdate on it. I haven't been able to find anything after we moved.

The card from Carol is fantastic and I wonder where, where, where did she get those stamps! LOVELY!
