Teapot Tuesday 137

I feel a little bad because this post is going to be very short and Cindy puts so much time and creativity into her Teapot Tuesday stories.  Please check it out here.  Here is our inspiration ......

This is the cutest little collection of teapots that I have seen in a while.  It was hard to decide which one to go for, but in the long run I took some clues from our destination station this week.  A very young lady who is dealing with ovarian cancer is our destination.  She is only in the 6th grade and she loves art, horses, music, and the color blue among other things.  Our challenge is to bring art with a frame to the tea party.

Taking all this into account I remembered the little frames I had picked up at the Dollar Tree awhile back and decided to frame my "artwork" that way.

The frame is only about 1 3/4 x 2 1/2 inches and the image from A Flower For All Seasons fit perfectly.  I chose the one with the frog and the pink flowers like the teapot in the lower right corner.

I stamped the image in Basic Gray on watercolor paper and then using my aquapainter and inkpads I watercolored away.  This frame is so easy to use - the metal bars on the top and bottom are like clips holding all the layers together.  I just added a little button and ribbon treatment to pizzazz it up.

I think Haeli will like it.  I've got another one in the works to keep on hand for another gift, or maybe, just maybe, I might treat myself and put it on my work desk.

So let's go check out the gallery for this week - here.

  1. You should definitely treat yourself and put your next framed picture on your desk. I should think Haeli will love this - it's sweet.
